Peradze, Nino

Peradze, Nino - a painter, graphic artist, was born in 1955, in Tbilisi.

In 1975-1981 she studied at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, faculty of easel graphic, under the professor Lado Kutateladze.

From 1980 to 1987 Peradze worked as an animation artist at the Georgia State Cinema Studio where she created about 10 animation films. In 1983 she was awarded for her animation film “Portrait” at Kiev International Festival. In 1984 Peradze was graduated from Russian State University of Cinematography after Gerasimov S. (VGIK) in Moscow as a director of animation films.

In 1987-1989 Peradze headed a graphic art studio at the Artist’s House in Tbilisi. During that period, she regularly took part in art exhibitions all over the USSR and abroad. In 1990s Peradze got numerous awards at Art International Biennials in Krakow, Tallinn, Kaliningrad, and in Russia as " The Best Graphic Artist Of the Year”. In 1986-2005 Peradze taught painting and drawing at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. Since 2012 Peradze has been working on animation projects at Tore Cinema Studio in Verona, Italy. Her personal exhibitions were held in Georgia, Turkey, Netherlands, Spain and Germany. Peradze art works are presented at The State Art Museums in Russia and Georgia as well as in private collections abroad.
