Jacovleff, Alexandre

Alexandre Jacovleff – a painter, graphic artist and theatre designer, born in Saint-Petersburg in 1887, graduate of the Saint-Petersburg Imperial Academy. In 1918 Jacovleff immigrated to France and settled in Paris. Jacofleff is one of the greatest Russian painters of the first third of the 20th century. His works are presented at the Russian Museum in Saint-Petersburg, the Tretyakov Gallery and Pushkin Fine Arts Museum in Moscow.
