Durmishidze, Omar

Omar Durmishidze – a 20th century Georgian painter, graduate of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. In 1973 his graduation work Peaceful Sleep got the highest grade. After having graduated, Durmishidze started participating in art exhibitions in Georgia. In 1974 at the All-union Fine Arts Festival his painting Sluices at Night was acclaimed both by the audience and the critics. Durmishidze’s personal exhibitions were held at a number of Georgian museums and exhibition halls.
